The Democratic Club will be marching with our banner to celebrate Martin Luther King Day on Monday January 18th.  Please join us.

The MLK breakfast starts at 7:30am at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, directly across from the Babe James Center on Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach.  The march begins at 8:30 from the church to the North Causeway where, at about 9:30, a brief ceremony will be conducted.

Your local Democratic Club is President Obama's voice and action group in Southeast Volusia County.  We will do all we can to help fulfill the President's commitment as best expressed in his January 20, 2009 inaugural address...

"For everywhere we look, there is work to be done.  The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth.  We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids, and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.  We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost.  And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.  All this we can do.  All this we will do."
